Introduction

First thing is first!

I do not represent Acekard 2 or M3 DS Real cards. I was given the M3 DS Real card and I am not affiliated with either of the companies that produce them. I do not get not paid to write these reviews. These are just my thoughts and opinions of the products. Also same goes for the Nintendo brands and games.

Not sure what that will do but don't want to take any chances you know? Not trying to make any money off this just want to help those out who need some advice or would like some opinions.

These specific cards require the normal DS or DS Lite. Keep in mind the M3 DS Real has the GBA cartridge that is only compatible with DS lites. Also TO MY KNOWLEDGE these cards are not compatible with the Newest Nintendo DS models.

If you are looking into buying either m3 DS Real Card or Acekard 2 BE SURE TO DO A TON OF RESEARCH. There are a lot of shady dealers on the interweb especially with these specific kind of cards. Mine was gotten of http://www.dealextreme.com/ took almost 2 months to get to me apparently since it was imported from Japan. I checked today to see if it was still there. It seems it was removed off the site.

My personal review on M3 DS Real Card

I got my card back about 2 years ago. A friend of mine got it for me as a gift, He payed about 45 bucks it. It came with everything pictured above(M3 DS Real Card, GBA Expansion pack ONLY WORKS WITH DS LITE, and a little usb micro sd card reader) along with a rumble pack (not pictured and I do not keep it with me or use it)I believe it also came with a little software disk but it was pretty outdated when I got it so I had to just go online and download the most recent system files. I purchased a Sandisk 8g micro sd card to go with my M3 DS Real. Its super nice having so much space.

So starting out observing the actual M3 DS Real (cartridge slot 1)I noticed its a little on the flimsy side also at times it can be hard to insert the micro sd card at times. Like I will try to push down on the memory stick ( into its proper slot sometimes it does not catch and pops back up and takes a few tries to put it in place.

Other then that everything else seems in good condition. The GBA cartridge allows for GBA games to be played but it cannot just be plugged in by itself. It requires the M3 DS Real Cartridge as well.

Software:to my knowledge there is M3 DS Real software, Sokura and Moonshell. I have seen other software that was like linux for the DS and stuff but really have not messed with it. As far as I know too, it is in beta and with the latest versions of Sakura and Moonshell I dont really see a reason to switch to something new.

My Personal Review on the Acekard 2 card

Three of my friends all have this card. From what I was told they bought theirs for I believe about 16 bucks. Apparently the website they purchased theirs from was shut down :/ Came with the actual card and micro sd usb adapter.

Inspecting the card it is about the same as the M3 DS Real card but not as flimsy. Also have not experienced any problems inserting the sd card or heard anything from my friends of having any kinda of physical issues like that.

Software: Acekard software? I got a chance to tinker with the software. I DO KNOW that Moonshell 2 works on it and enables it to play videos, music, applications (hombrew) and other fun additional things rather then just DS games.
